How long have you been attending Mountain Park?
We began attending MPCC on Super Bowl Sunday in January of 1992.

Since coffee beans are grown in the mountains do you think that's the reason why you attend a church with mountain in the name?
That's a better reason than some I've heard. Paul had been asking me to go to church, any church. Church shopping didn't sound that fun, and I was dragging my feet because I was a little angry at God. One day a flyer came in the mail from Mountain Park about a marriage series beginning Super Bowl Sunday. I showed Paul, thinking to myself, no way will he want to go to church that day. To my surprise and dismay, he said ok. Too late for me to back out, so we went. We both really enjoyed the service and never looked at any other churches. It didn't hurt that a week later two ladies from MPCC dropped off a box of homemade cookies. Great ministry idea!

What's your favorite bible verse?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Yes, the King James version. I had to memorize it for Sunday School in 5th grade.
