Dave became a part of the Mountain Park family in the fall of 2008. He and his wife, Sondra, helped to start the College & Young Adult Ministry in 2010 and lead the ministry together. Dave also manages all things "computer" around the church, and in his spare time, works with our Student Ministry.

When I say the word, "mcfarlane" what comes to your mind?

Pure glory. The finest collection of sports action figures ever created. Don't let anyone tell you they are dolls or toys.

Is it true you volunteer on your days off at the Apple store?

I WISH! JK. But seriously, I probably could. When you have a passion for something, sharing your knowledge in that area comes naturally. If you do want to know more about Macs, just email me.... be warned though, you'll probably convert to Mac.

Where do you and your wife, Sondra, like to eat out?

We are big fans of food. For some reason gift cards seem to make their way towards us so we go wherever we have gift cards... but picking our favorites... a little chinese dive by our house called Wokee Express and the Hard Rock Café.

Share a defining moment in your journey with Christ.

In 1999, I was at a dc Talk concert. I had always wanted to be a musician and was planning on being in a band and touring. During the concert there was moment where dc Talk was leading a worship portion singing, Awesome God. When all the singers and musicians dropped out the audience sang Awesome God for the next several minutes. I knew God was speaking to me in that moment saying, "I want you to lead people like this to me." From that moment on I have given my life to following that call.
