Say Hello to Mark Farley

Mark Farley

Mark Farley

Director of Care & Support Ministry

Mark has been attending Mountain Park since March of 2010 with his wife Tami and their teenage daughter Kai. Mark and Tami are very active volunteers and enjoy helping people. Mark has a long history of working with and helping others struggling with issues relating to addictions, emotional injuries, and spiritual hurts. After flying under the radar Mark answered the call to step up and volunteer to become Director of Care & Support Services.

So while moonlighting as the Director of Care & Support at Mountain Park, what is your day job?
I am a Consultant and Manager of Data Support Services for a major wireless company. I enjoy leading my Very Zany Workers and feel humbled and blessed to be employed by such a caring and customer friendly company.

What's the best Bluetooth headset on the market right now?
The Bluetooth I wear is actually a high tech tracking device that Tami makes me wear so she can know where I am at as well as use the buzzer feature to keep me in line!

How did you get plugged in volunteering at Mountain Park as the C&S Director?
After learning about my passion for helping others and my calling to serve, Juno asked me if I would like to help guide Care & Support Ministry. I have set up and organized other helping groups at our former church and remain active in the homeless and sobriety communities in Ahwatukee, Tempe, and Chandler.

To you, what is the most amazing thing about Jesus?
I feel the most amazing thing about Jesus is that no matter what, he set the example of humbling ourselves to serve others. He humbly washed the feet of others knowing He would suffer the pain and humiliation of death on a cross the next day. He sacrificed His life to pay the penalty for our sins, so we could be reconciled to God.

“I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

John 13:13-17
