Café Manager


The mission of Mountain Park Church is to invite the distracted and the disinterested to realize their role in God’s story. The café manager fulfills this mission by facilitating biblical community through hospitality, quality products, efficiency and friendly service.


Facilitate Biblical Community
  • Maintain a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ that sets an example for those we serve and aligns with the mission and beliefs of MPC
  • Maintain a food safety manager certification
  • Management of Café inventory
  • Maintaining of Café machines and equipment, scheduled cleaning and maintenance
  • Setup and management of POS system, weekly till and cashiering as needed
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards using food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Training of volunteers to make drinks, operate Café machines and serve customers
  • Provide leadership in recruiting and scheduling of all volunteers
  • Implement and maintain all policies & procedures including communication of any updates or changes
  • Respond to follow-up requests from communication cards & email/phone inquiries
  • Promote positive public relations with congregation and visitors on campus


  • Education/Experience
    • 1-2 years of previous Coffee Shop Management
    • 1-2 years of previous Barista experience
    • 1-2 years of Food handling and preparation experience
    • Experience with Point of sale systems
    • Flexible schedule is important. Must be able to work within the church ministry schedule.
    • High School Diploma
    • Previous church ministry experience


  • Proficient computer skills in Mac software, Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with scheduling software
  • Passion for serving people
  • Communication skills in both verbal and written communications
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator and relationship building skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
  • Dependable, responsible and self-motivated
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work with minimal supervision
