Like any other commitment, a well-thought-out plan will go a long way in achieving success, stability and longevity. As you begin your journey of oneness through marriage, we hope to assist you with your wedding plans and set a precedent for your marriage. We look forward to assisting you with your wedding and the cherished memories it will bring. On behalf of the MPCC staff, congratulations on your engagement!

Setting The Date

Wedding ceremonies at MPCC should be scheduled well in advance. We recommend setting your date at least six months prior to your wedding date. This time period is to allow for adequate premarital counseling and wedding preparations. We also suggest calling our Wedding facilitator or the church receptionist to check facility availability. If a date is arranged inside the six-month period, there will not be a guarantee of accommodations. Please note that all wedding arrangements are tentative and subject to rescheduling or cancellation until you have received confirmation from the church. Before confirmation can occur, the church has to receive your completed application and deposit.

Facility Use

Facility fees include heating, cooling and lighting. Tables and chairs are available for a nominal fee unless included in your agreement. If there is excessive set up there will be additional charges. If any damages occur or services are required to clean up or bring the facility back to its original condition, we will take the difference from the deposit and/or bill you the difference if it exceeds the deposit.

A pre and post walk through of facility rental area must be scheduled by appointment with Wedding Facilitator.

A refundable $500 (cashier’s check) damage deposit is required at the time of a facilities use request. We have a standard stage set up. Closed curtains and piano upon request. Monitors, piano and other stage equipment will not be moved. Please consult with Wedding Facilitator.

Please note our facility will not be available outside of the times listed. If your wedding goes beyond your scheduled time, you will be charged the average hourly cost of the contract.

Premarital Assessment

We strongly recommend that couples go through a formal premarital assessment process where a certificate of completion is offered. At MPCC, we offer two classes per year facilitated by Pastor Tim Goodyear. This is a group class where other engaged and married couples walk through the material together. The Premarital Class will be offered annually beginning the month of January and August.

We also have available individual inventory counseling, which is a Pastor meeting with the couple. The inventory is 200 to 225 questions that assess couples as individuals and as a couple. Pastors will meet with couples three to four times to review their inventory. The cost to take the inventory is $50. There is a $200 inventory review fee.

If you choose, premarital counseling can be done through a third party. If using a third party, please provide proof of marriage counseling.

Send us an email to get the next class start date.

The Wedding Facilitator can assist you in finding an MPCC Pastor to officiate your wedding. In most cases, an MPCC Pastor is available to perform your ceremony on or off campus. Before the wedding, you will meet with the MPCC Pastor who will be officiating your ceremony. Details will be discussed. THE PASTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO POSTPONE OR CANCEL THEIR PARTICIPATION IN YOUR CEREMONY.

You are more than welcome to have a licensed Pastor from another recognized denomination perform your ceremony at Mountain Park. Any non-MPCC pastor performing a wedding at Mountain Park should be prepared to provide a faith statement with contact information.
