Mountain Park Church staff team is a diverse group of individuals who love God, pray together, laugh together and strive to be in tune with the vision God has for Mountain Park. See what God can do through you
Hey there! I’m so glad you are checking out Mountain Park. In the interest of full disclosure, I must admit that I’m not a huge fan of writing these bios. I mean, I wonder if you really want to...
know what school I went to (Anderson School of Theology) or what my favorite movie is (A Few Good Men) or how many kids I have (three)? Do you want to know my wife’s name, (Tami) when we got married (1997) or how beautiful she is (very)?
Instead of all that stuff, let me get right to it… yes, I really do love Jesus. My priority is not buildings or attendance numbers, but people finding the love and grace of Jesus. He really is the best part of our church - and the best thing about me. Join us and you’ll find a safe place to figure out how a relationship with Him can change everything. Welcome!
Part of being a safe place means we are okay with questions. Asking questions is part of who we are. Below is a list of common questions we’ve received over the years. If you have a question that you don’t see here, contact us and we will answer as best we can.
What did you do on your first date with your wife Tami?We saw the fireworks in downtown Cincinnati. In the chaos of the crowded walk back to the car I said, "Let me hold your hand to make sure you're ok." (pretty smooth, huh!?)
What’s the best thing about having children?Someone to blame when I have gastrointestinal issues.
You moved from Canada to Arizona... Seriously, how does that happen?Yeah, like I'm the only Canadian in Phoenix...?!?
What is it that Americans just don’t get about hockey? They can't see the puck. They think these men are just skating around bumping into each other and getting so frustrated by the futility that they have to fight every once in a while.
What’s your favorite Mountain Park moment so far? When the board and I worshiped and prayed all day to discover that God simply wants us to “Love God” and “Love Others”.
